Who lists here
Founders who can write something useful about building or running SaaS and are willing to disclose their own product instead of dropping a link. If your plan is a launch announcement, read rule 11 first.
What to prepare
- A Reddit account and a post that carries value on its own — rule 4 removes AI-generated text, unedited prompt dumps and vague questions, and rule 3 counts naked links as spam.
- A disclosure line: rule 3 allows at most one mention or three links every 60 days, counts alt accounts towards that limit, and asks you to state your affiliation at the start or end.
- Clean, direct URLs: rule 7 removes shorteners, landing-page aggregators, tracking and affiliate links automatically, and disguised links lead to a ban.
What “live” means here
Your post is public in r/SaaS and still there after the mod queue and the Bot Bouncer app listed in the sidebar have seen it. Record the permalink and open it again later in a logged-out browser before you count it as live.
Worth knowing
Rule 11 bans promotion, launch announcements and feedback requests for SaaS products made for advertising, promotional outreach, lead detection or ad and content generation. Surveys and polls need modmail approval under rule 6, and offering free reviews, audits or roasts has a rule of its own, number 10.
