StackShare: how to get listed

StackShare is a community where developers publish the stacks they build with and browse tools by layer — AI, Application & Data, Utilities, DevOps and Business Tools, each with a counter. Tool pages such as stackshare.io/github carry a description, key features, discussions, adoption numbers, alternatives and integrations, and lists of new and trending tools feed the home page.

Who lists here

Developer tools and infrastructure products whose buyers are engineers, and any team happy to show its own stack: the stacks of companies like Uber, Airbnb and Netflix head the Popular list on its stacks page.

What to prepare

  • A GitHub or Google login: the “List a Tool” button opens a sign-up dialog offering exactly those two options.
  • Proof of ownership for the claim: an email address on your tool’s domain, or admin or maintain permission on the GitHub repository if the tool’s site is a repo URL.
  • The page content: the right category in their taxonomy, a short description, key features, a logo and images, plus documentation and repository links.

What “live” means here

Live means your tool has its own page in a category and appears in the New list; after a successful claim the docs say verification is automatic, so the page gets a verified badge and you can edit details, images and links and see page analytics.

Worth knowing

Search first: the docs say the “Claim this tool” button only appears on unclaimed pages, and if someone else already claimed yours, support is the only route. Publishing your own stack is the cheaper half of the work — “npx stackshare scan” reads a project’s config files and manifests and creates or updates the stack for you.
