Affiliate Terms

1. Participation

Buyers of LaunchRepo can activate their referral link in their access area. Creators without a purchase can apply; we decide on applications at our discretion and without giving reasons. There is no entitlement to participate.

You must be at least 18 years old and provide truthful information. One person or company may hold only one affiliate account. Your referral code must not infringe third-party rights or imitate our brand.

2. Referral link and attribution

A sale is attributed to you if the buyer opens your referral link (launchrepo.dev/r/<code>) and completes the purchase within 60 days in the same browser. If a buyer uses several referral links, the last one counts. Buyers who come through your link receive a discount of €20 on the regular price; campaign offers with a fixed price get no additional discount.

We are not liable if attribution fails for technical reasons, for example because the buyer blocks cookies, deletes local storage or switches devices.

3. Commission

You receive 30 % of the net price of each attributed sale, meaning the amount the buyer actually paid after discounts and without VAT. Sales through AppSumo codes, free promotion codes and your own purchases earn no commission.

Purchases by yourself, by people in your household or company, or with an email address or GitHub account belonging to you count as self-purchases. Their commissions are cancelled automatically.

4. Holding period and cancellations

A commission is first “pending” and is released 60 days after the payment, provided the purchase has not been refunded or disputed by then.

If a purchase is refunded or charged back, its commission is cancelled. If the commission had already been paid out, the amount is offset against your next payouts (negative balance).

5. Payout and self-billing

We pay out released commissions once a month by SEPA bank transfer as soon as your released balance reaches at least €50 and your bank details and tax profile are complete. Smaller amounts are carried over. We do not pay out in cash, by card or by other methods.

You agree that we settle your commissions by self-billed credit note (Gutschrift) within the meaning of § 14 (2) sentence 2 of the German VAT Act (UStG). We issue the credit note in your affiliate dashboard; if you object to a credit note, it loses its effect as an invoice. Depending on your tax profile the credit note shows VAT, a small-business note, a reverse-charge note or a note that the service is not taxable in Germany.

You are responsible for the correctness of your tax profile and for paying any taxes on your commissions. Commissions of private individuals may be taxable as other income (§ 22 no. 3 EStG).

6. Prohibited promotion

You may promote LaunchRepo honestly on your own channels: websites, newsletters, social media, videos and communities whose rules allow it. It is prohibited to bid on “LaunchRepo” or confusingly similar terms in search ads (brand bidding), to publish your link on coupon, deal or cashback sites, to send spam or unsolicited messages, to use fake reviews or bots, to make false promises (for example guaranteed listings, traffic or income) and to present yourself as LaunchRepo or The CodeCave GmbH.

Clearly label your link as an advertising or affiliate link where the law or the platform requires it.

7. Suspension and termination

We may suspend your account and cancel open commissions if you breach these terms, in particular in case of self-purchases, fraud, prohibited promotion or false information. Commissions obtained properly before a breach remain unaffected.

Both parties may end participation at any time by email. Released commissions of at least the minimum amount are then paid out with the next monthly run.

8. Data protection

We process your name, email address, referral code, click counts, attributed sales, bank details and tax profile to run the program and meet our accounting duties (Art. 6 (1) (b) and (c) GDPR). Your IBAN is stored encrypted and shown only in shortened form; it is decrypted only to create the bank transfer file. Buyers’ personal data is never shown to you; you see only shortened order references and amounts. Further details are in our privacy policy.

9. Changes

We may change these terms, the commission rate or the program with effect for the future. We announce material changes by email at least 30 days in advance; commissions for sales before the change remain governed by the old terms. German law applies; the place of jurisdiction for merchants is Cologne.
