LaunchDirectories is a straightforward done-for-you service: pick a package of 30, 60 or 100+ directories, their team submits your startup by hand in about four to six days, and you receive a report with live links, screenshots and the logins of the accounts they created. LaunchRepo is the toolkit version of the same job: one payment, 346 directory playbooks, and your own AI agent doing the submissions in your own browser, for every product you ever ship. On a single launch the two are close in price. The difference shows up on the second product and in whose accounts the listings live.

When LaunchDirectories is the better choice
- You want it done for you within the week. Average delivery is published as 4–6 days and nobody on your side has to run anything.
- You do not want to operate an AI agent. LaunchRepo only works if you start Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or a browser agent yourself.
- You are launching exactly one product. At $99 for 30+ directories, the Starter List is a smaller cheque than €99.98.
- You want select paid launches included. Their packages state they include “paid launches on select partner directories”; our playbooks describe paid options but you pay each directory yourself.
- You want a report with screenshots and credentials handed over, rather than a tracker you maintain.
When LaunchRepo is the better choice
- You ship repeatedly. One payment of €99.98 covers every product you own; a package is bought again for each launch.
- You want 346 playbooks instead of a fixed batch — with form fields, blockers and what counts as live, and a shortlist your agent derives from your product, not from a package size.
- You want listings created in accounts you opened. Their reports hand over “login credentials for the accounts we create”; with LaunchRepo nothing is ever created in your name by someone else.
- You want states, not a count: submitted, pending review, scheduled and live are tracked separately in your submissions.csv and local dashboard.
- You want to keep the process — repository, product brief and tracker — and reuse it next quarter without a new order.
Verdict
For a single startup that needs to be in a hundred directories by next week without anybody on the team touching a form, LaunchDirectories is a reasonable buy, and their entry package is cheaper than our licence. For a developer who will launch again, the second package already costs more than €99.98 paid once, the listings sit in accounts somebody else opened, and the process is not yours. Neither option guarantees what a directory will publish; they publish no guarantee on the pages we checked, and we publish none on purpose.

Whose accounts are the listings in?
LaunchDirectories creates accounts and includes their “login credentials” in the report. With LaunchRepo your agent submits from your own logged-in browser, so every listing is in an account you opened.
Does either guarantee listings or backlinks?
LaunchRepo guarantees nothing — no listing, no backlink, no ranking — because every directory moderates on its own terms. LaunchDirectories publishes no guarantee on the pages we checked; a refund FAQ exists whose answer we could not read, so we quote none.
Can I start with a service and switch later?
