Best-of list

Best indie hacker launch platforms: 110 boards and communities

The product-launch category plus the communities of the catalog — because an indie launch is a launch board slot and a post where other builders read. Generated at build time.

An indie hacker launch has two halves. The first is a listing: a launch board, a startup showcase, a weekly “what shipped” page. The second is a post: Hacker News, Indie Hackers, Peerlist, a subreddit — places with rules, moderators and an audience that reacts to how you write rather than what you fill in. This list joins the catalog’s product-launch category with its community category so both halves are in one place: 110 entries.

Communities are marked as such in the sentence next to them. A community entry has a playbook because posting well has steps too — reading the rules, choosing the right thread, not asking for votes — but nothing about it is a form, and nothing your agent does there should look automated.

How to use this list

Use the boards for the launch week and the communities for the day the listings exist. Post yourself, in your own words; the playbook for a community tells the agent what the rules are, not what to write. Boards with one pending launch per account need spacing between products. If you ship several small products a year, the same list is reused each time, which is the case the toolkit’s licence is written for.

What “free route” and “live” mean

For boards, the “free route” is the standard launch without paid boosts; the agent declines upsells and records deferred_paid if the free option has disappeared. For communities there is no route to buy, only rules to follow. The catalog records every route as unknown until the session checks it. “Live” means a public launch page on its date, or a public post that has not been removed by moderators; a scheduled slot with approval pending is recorded as scheduled with that note.

Evidence before you submit

Community posts and launch pages are frequently indexed and frequently carry rel hints on outbound links — Hacker News and Reddit are the obvious cases. Whether that matters for your product is exactly what the evidence method leaves open: observed indexing plus a link with rel hints earns partial credit, not zero and not full. Audience evidence counts separately, and for communities that is usually the point. No entry here carries a dofollow, authority or traffic claim.
