LaunchRepoA SaaS has two kinds of directories to think about. Software and tool directories list products by category and alternatives; they are where someone searching “X alternative” ends up. B2B software review sites list vendors and collect reviews; they are where a buyer compares three shortlisted tools. The catalog tags them separately, and this list joins the two categories so the 116 entries reflect the full set rather than a subset.
The review sites deserve a specific warning. Several belong to one vendor network and share a submission flow, and a few offer a free vendor profile next to paid placements that look like the only option. The playbooks describe what the observed form looked like on a date; your agent still reads the current one before it types anything.
How to use this list
Sort mentally by what the site does with a listing. Alternative-style directories reward an accurate list of real competitors; review sites reward a complete profile and, later, genuine customer reviews you never fabricate. Entries with a field guide first: the SaaSHub write-up shows a listing that was public and still pending, which is the state you will see most often. Work in small batches and let the tracker remember what is pending where.
What “free route” and “live” mean
On review sites the “free route” is usually a basic vendor profile; upgrades are sold hard and the agent is instructed to decline them and record deferred_paid when the free form is gone. The catalog keeps the route unknown until the session checks it. “Live” on this list means the public profile or listing page exists without an approval label; a review site that shows your profile only to logged-in editors is not live.
Evidence before you submit
For SaaS directories the evidence question is usually not indexing — most are indexed — but the link: many route the product link through a redirect or add rel hints on unverified profiles. Record the anchor, its href, its rel tokens and the final destination for three listings like yours, dated, before you count anything as a backlink. We publish none of those observations here because they are per product and per template, not per directory.
