Crunchbase: how to get listed

Crunchbase is a private-market database used by investors, sales teams and analysts. Company pages carry logo, description, founding date, headquarters, industries, founders, funding rounds and team, plus staff-only scores computed by Crunchbase — CB Rank, CB Trend, Growth Score and Heat Score among them.

Checked on September 17, 2026 on the platform’s public pages.

Who lists here

Companies that want a canonical company record where investors and journalists look — the knowledge centre asks contributors to add content focused on the tech ecosystem, startups and investors.

What to prepare

  • A registered account with social authentication (Google or LinkedIn connected in account settings); the requirements page says that is all you need to contribute.
  • A search first to confirm the company is not already listed, then the add-a-company route, which only works from a logged-in browser session.
  • Logo, founded date, website and social links, short and long description, headquarters, three to five industries, founders and any funding rounds — the list the help centre calls a complete profile.

What “live” means here

Live means your organisation resolves under /organization/<slug>/ with the data you saved. The scores Crunchbase computes — CB Rank, CB Trend, Growth and Heat — cannot be edited, and the knowledge centre says some fields can only be removed by staff.

Worth knowing

Creating a profile is free; Pro and Business are search and data products, not listing upgrades — their prices sit behind the same bot check, so record “not published” rather than a third-party figure. Crunchbase serves a bot block to anything that is not a real browser, so do the whole thing in one logged-in session.
