Company and startup profile platforms

These platforms describe an organisation: what the company does, where it is based, how big it is, sometimes funding and founding year. The unit is the company, not the release. That difference decides whether you belong here at all — a weekend project without a legal entity behind it does not, and inventing one to fit the form is the kind of shortcut that comes back later.

Startups with a registered company, a location and a team fit well. So do bootstrapped companies that want to appear on a city or country ecosystem map, which is where much of the value sits: regional portals and local investors embed these datasets, and a correct entry there is quietly useful for years.

What to prepare is company data rather than launch assets: legal name, headquarters city and country, industry and sub-industry, founding year, team size, a short description and a logo. Accuracy beats ambition — these entries are cross-referenced by third parties, and a wrong city or an inflated team size is more visible here than on a launch board. Many of these platforms also gate the full dataset behind a paid research subscription; that affects what you can browse, not whether you can be listed.

Live means your company resolves on the platform’s public map or list with the data you submitted. Scores and rankings are computed by the platform from its own inputs, so a new profile starts wherever its data puts it — that is a fact to record, not a result to optimise on day one.
